Can I use my existing payment processor with Ogent?
Yes. Ogent supports Stripe, Authorize.net, and CardConnect. If you already have a merchant account with any of these, you can connect it directly during onboarding — no need to switch processors or renegotiate rates.
Do you charge an additional fee on top of my payment processing?
No. Ogent does not add a platform surcharge on top of your payment processing fees. You pay your processor's standard rates — that's it. On the Pay As You Go plan, Ogent charges a percentage of net sales, but this is separate from and in addition to your processor fees, not a markup on them.
Is Apple Pay and Google Pay supported?
Yes — Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported through Stripe. Guests can check out using their preferred wallet on any compatible device, with no extra setup required on your end.
How do I connect my Stripe account?
During Ogent onboarding, you'll be prompted to connect your Stripe account via OAuth. It takes under two minutes — just log in to Stripe and authorize the connection. If you don't have a Stripe account yet, you can create one as part of the flow.
Is Authorize.net suitable for merchant service providers?
Yes — Authorize.net is the preferred gateway for ISOs and MSPs who bundle payment processing with Ogent for their restaurant clients. It works seamlessly with existing processing contracts so your clients don't need to change anything.
Is payment data secure?
Ogent never stores card data. All payment processing is fully pass-through to your chosen gateway — whether Stripe, Authorize.net, or CardConnect. Each gateway is PCI-DSS compliant, and CardConnect adds an additional layer of end-to-end encryption via Fiserv.
