GloriaFood is shutting down. Ogent is the upgrade.

Oracle is sunsetting GloriaFood by April 30, 2027 — and new onboarding has already closed. If you built your restaurant's ordering around GloriaFood, this isn't your fault, but the clock is real. Ogent gives you everything you relied on — QR code ordering, a branded portal, zero app downloads for guests — plus native POS sync with Square, Clover, and MicroSale, plus DoorDash and Uber Eatsintegration. We'll help you migrate. Free to start, live within a day.

What happened, in plain English

A platform thousands of restaurants trusted is being switched off.

GloriaFood was genuinely good — simple, commission-free, and built for independent restaurants. Oracle acquired it, deprioritized it, and is now winding it down. That's frustrating, and it's not something you should have had to deal with. But you do have time to move, and switching doesn't have to be painful. Here's what you need to know about the timeline.

Confirmed by Oracle

The questions you're probably asking

If you ran GloriaFood, you trusted it for good reasons. Here are the things operators tell us they're most worried about switching — and where Ogent lands on each.

Commission-free ordering

GloriaFood charged no commission — ever.

Ogent's POS Integration plan ($149/mo) charges zero commission on orders. The Pay As You Go plan is 4% of net sales with no monthly fee — you choose which fits your volume.

Simple enough for one person to run

GloriaFood was beloved for being dead simple.

Ogent is set up in a single sitting — usually under an hour. One dashboard, one ordering link, one QR code per table. No IT required. If you ran GloriaFood solo, you can run Ogent solo.

Multiple locations

GloriaFood supported multi-location accounts.

Ogent supports multiple locations from one account — separate menus, separate QR codes, separate reporting per location. All managed from one login.

Kitchen printers & KDS

GloriaFood sent orders to a tablet app — no native printer integration.

Ogent routes orders directly into your Square or Clover POS, which fires orders to your existing kitchen printers and KDS screens automatically. Nothing changes in the kitchen.

Staff retraining

GloriaFood had a simple tablet-based order acceptance flow.

If you're on Square or Clover, orders appear as standard POS orders — your staff sees nothing different. No new app, no new hardware, no retraining.

Menu & customer data

GloriaFood menus and customer data go offline April 30, 2027.

Export your GloriaFood menu now and import it into Ogent. If you use Square or Clover, your menu syncs automatically. Customer order history from GloriaFood should be exported before shutdown.

Ogent vs GloriaFood — a fair comparison

GloriaFood was good at what it did. Here's where Ogent picks up where it left off — and where it goes further.

GloriaFood Migration — FAQ

When is GloriaFood shutting down?

GloriaFood is permanently shutting down on April 30, 2027. Oracle, which acquired GloriaFood, has frozen the product — no new signups, no new features, and reduced support. All data including menus, customer records, and order history will become inaccessible after shutdown.

What is the best GloriaFood alternative?

Ogent AI is the closest GloriaFood alternative for restaurants that need QR code ordering and online ordering without complexity. Like GloriaFood, Ogent offers a branded ordering portal and QR codes — and adds native POS sync with Square and Clover, DoorDash and Uber Eats integration, and AI-powered menu tools that GloriaFood never had.

Is Ogent AI free like GloriaFood was?

Ogent AI is free to set up with a Pay As You Go plan at 4% of net sales — you pay nothing until you earn. The POS Integration plan is $149/month with no contract. GloriaFood was free with optional paid upgrades; Ogent's model is similar but adds significantly more capability at each tier.

How do I migrate from GloriaFood to Ogent AI?

Book a 20-minute call with our team — we'll look at your GloriaFood setup, bring your menu across, set up your QR codes, and have you live within a day. If you'd rather DIY: export your menu from GloriaFood (Settings → Menu → Export), create an Ogent account, connect your Square, Clover, or MicroSale POS so your menu imports automatically, and generate your new QR codes. Either path is free to start.

Does Ogent AI work without a POS?

Yes. If you don't use Square or Clover, you can create your menu manually in Ogent and manage orders through the Ogent dashboard on any phone or tablet. You don't need a POS integration to get started.

Will my existing QR codes still work after migrating?

No — GloriaFood's QR codes link to GloriaFood's servers, which shut down April 30, 2027. You'll need to replace them with Ogent QR codes. Ogent generates printable PDFs for each table, and reprinting table tent cards takes about 10 minutes.

Does Ogent AI support DoorDash and Uber Eats like GloriaFood did?

GloriaFood did not natively integrate with DoorDash or Uber Eats — it was a standalone ordering system. Ogent does integrate with DoorDash and Uber Eats, routing third-party delivery orders into the same dashboard alongside your direct orders.

How is Ogent AI different from GloriaFood?

GloriaFood was a free standalone online ordering widget with basic QR menus and no POS integration. Ogent AI adds native Square and Clover POS sync, per-table QR code routing, DoorDash and Uber Eats integration, and AI-powered menu management. The core experience — guests scan a QR code and order from their phone — is the same, but Ogent is built for restaurants that want their orders to flow into their existing POS automatically.

Does Ogent AI support multiple locations like GloriaFood did?

Yes. Ogent supports multiple locations from one account. Each location gets its own menu, its own QR codes, its own ordering link, and its own order reporting — all managed from a single login. You can share menu items across locations or keep them fully separate.

Will my kitchen printers still work after switching from GloriaFood?

Yes — and they'll work better. GloriaFood sent orders to a tablet app that required manual acceptance. Ogent routes orders through your Square or Clover POS, which automatically fires tickets to your existing kitchen printers and KDS screens the same way a regular POS order does. No new hardware, no new workflow for your kitchen staff.

Do my staff need to learn a new system?

If you're on Square or Clover, your staff sees Ogent orders as standard POS orders — nothing changes on their end. They don't need a new app or new login. The only change is on the guest side, where they'll scan a new QR code. For restaurants not on Square or Clover, Ogent has a simple order acceptance dashboard that works on any phone or tablet.

How do I export my customer data from GloriaFood before shutdown?

Log into GloriaFood and go to Settings → Reports → Orders to export your order history. For customer data, check Settings → Customers if your account has that section. Do this well before April 30, 2027 — once GloriaFood servers go offline, the data is unrecoverable. Menu data can be exported from Settings → Menu → Export.

Don't wait until April 2027

GloriaFood users who migrate early get their new QR codes live and tested well before the shutdown. We'll have you up and running within a day, and it costs nothing to start.
