Do we need to replace our existing Square Online ordering to use Ogent?

No. Ogent does not interfere with Square Online or any other ordering system you already have. You can continue using all your existing online ordering channels alongside Ogent — there is nothing to switch off or replace.

Is Ogent available on the Square App Marketplace?

Yes, Ogent is listed on the Square App Marketplace. You can connect your Square account directly from the marketplace in one click — no manual API keys required.

Do I need to replace my Square POS to use Ogent?

No. Ogent adds online and QR ordering on top of your existing Square setup. Your hardware, payment processing, and Square Dashboard stay exactly as they are.

Will online orders appear in my Square Dashboard?

Yes. Every Ogent order flows into Square and appears in your sales reports, tip summaries, and end-of-day reconciliation alongside in-person orders — one report for everything.

Can I keep using Square's payment processing with Ogent?

Yes. Payments are processed through your existing Square merchant account, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. You keep your rates and your existing setup.

Can guests place multiple orders and close out at the end?

No! Guests pay as soon as they place an order, but they can place multiple orders and use Apple Pay or Google Pay to pay through saved card.

Do we need a separate tablet or device for Ogent?

No. Ogent integrates directly with your Square POS, so orders are received and managed through your existing Square hardware. Additional management options — such as menu updates, prep time adjustments, and reporting — are available through Ogent's web dashboard on any browser.

Can I test the service before launching?

Yes, Ogent provides a testing environment so you can verify everything before going live.

How do we get new QR codes?

Merchants can send a request to their account manager to get updated QR codes.

What happens to my DoorDash payouts when I use Ogent with Square?

Your DoorDash payouts are unaffected. DoorDash pays you directly through the DoorDash Merchant Portal, exactly as it always has. Ogent routes the order into your Square KDS so your kitchen sees it — but payouts from DoorDash to your bank account go through DoorDash, not Square and not Ogent.

Can I use DoorDash and Square POS together through Ogent?

Yes. Ogent acts as the bridge: when a DoorDash order comes in, Ogent routes it into your Square POS just like a walk-in order. Your kitchen prints it, your Square Dashboard records it, and DoorDash settles the payout separately through their Merchant Portal.

Does the DoorDash Merchant Portal change when I connect Square POS via Ogent?

No. The DoorDash Merchant Portal stays exactly the same. Ogent handles order routing to your Square hardware — DoorDash's own payout and reporting tools are separate and are not changed or replaced.

Will DoorDash orders show up in my Square sales reports?

Yes, orders routed through Ogent appear in your Square Dashboard alongside in-person sales. However, the settlement comes from DoorDash separately — so you will see the order in Square's reports but receive the payout from DoorDash, not Square.
